1,827 Adventure-filled Days

Five years ago today I married my best friend.

As we said “I do” to each other 1,827 days ago we didn’t know what the future would hold, we just knew that no matter what happened we would face it together. We didn’t know the hurdles that we’d face, or the pure joy that we would experience. We didn’t know the twists and turns that our path would take, and we didn’t know how many times we’d find ourselves standing in an unfamiliar place holding one another’s hand ready to take on the world.

During our honeymoon to Maui we decided that we would make a tradition out of celebrating our anniversaries around the world, and five years later we’ve accumulated quite the collection of diverse memories and experiences that have us craving even more. We’ve island hopped around the southern Caribbean and traveled to Norway. We’ve crisscrossed the islands of Hawaii, explored the tantalizing country of Thailand, and for our fifth anniversary we are crossing off my ultimate Bucket List destination with a trip to Mo’orea way down in the South Pacific.

So many incredible destinations and so many amazing memories. Marriage isn’t always easy but the good FAR outweighs any challenges. I not only have an amazing husband, but I have a best friend, travel buddy, and a supportive dream chaser who is always by my side and willing to hold my hand as we JUMP into our next adventure.

Five years have gone by, and I love you more than I did yesterday, last week, last year, and five years ago; and I can’t wait to see what the next five years will bring! I don’t know what our future holds, but I promise that I will love you every single day.
