Happy Canada Day to our favorite friends to the North.
To join in the celebration and festivities, I wanted to look back on my first trip to Canada. I can’t believe it has been close to ten years. I had just graduated from high school and the weekend after I turned 18 we decided to head North to celebrate the two occasions.
We stopped in Calgary for a night before heading to Banff National Park for a few days. I remember that everyone in Calgary seemed so friendly. We took the transit down to the city center and enjoyed a delicious dinner before enjoying some of the nightlife (As an 18-year-old I thought that it was pretty cool that the legal drinking age was much lower than in the States). Ahhh, to be young again. 😉
Banff National Park was beautiful. During our stay, we did some hiking, enjoyed the views from our beautiful chalet, and even had a chance to see “The Castle of the Rockies” up close. I will apologize about the photos in advance as clearly my camera and photography skills have come a long way in ten years. If you promise not to judge, I’ll share a few photos from that trip. Enjoy!

I hope you have a safe and happy Canada Day!
Do we have any relatives in Canada we should visit? Or maybe we should just visit.
I like your thinking… 🙂
