From Paris, With Love

Bonsoir, my dear friends!

I have a secret to share: I have fallen in love. In love with a city that took me completely by surprise. When I began planning our trip to Paris, I knew that we would like Paris (because who wouldn’t like Paris. Am I Right?!) however, I never realized how much we would loooove Paris. Before our trip I had some minor reservations about the crowds, the perceived language barrier, and did I mention the crowds? So I was a little surprised when less than 24 hours into our trip, I found myself falling hard for this city. And in those first few days, I may have seriously contemplated extending our trip by a few weeks, or months. 😉

Eiffel Tower, Paris, France

Just as in any new romance, I get major butterflies thinking about our time in Paris — it’s safe to say that Cody and I are absolutely smitten, and not just with each other. 🙂 Paris had been on my Bucket List from the very beginning, and after realizing that France marked country number 17 in our country count, I found myself wondering, what took us so long?!?!

I don’t know where to start. From wandering the postcard-perfect streets, to enjoying chocolate croissants and espresso out on our balcony every morning; from sweet afternoons filled with tasty macarons, to people watching at the sidewalk cafe’s; I absolutely loved it all, and I have a lot of fun adventures to share with you.

Palais royal, Paris, France

Over these next few weeks, I will try keep the gushing to an acceptable level — I’m trying hard not to act like a teenager experiencing their first crush — but I can’t make any promises. 😉 For now, please tell me I’m not alone…

Have you ever unexpectedly fallen head-over-heels on one of your adventures?

  1. I loved Paris. It was one of our shortest trips yet it seems to be one of the most memorable. That is rare. I say we need to go back. Nice write up.

    1. Hi sweetie 🙂
Yes, we most definitely need to go back. SOON. 😉 I’ll get on that price tracker ASAP. haha.
So many great memories in such little time, it was magnifique.
      Love you.

    1. 🙂 Aloha Auntie. I have to admit that I’ve loved almost every place we’ve been to as well. I try to find the positives in every situation, and that applies to all of our travels too. However, with that said, there are a few places that are still our “favorites” (by a slight margin) and Paris is now on that list. 🙂
A hui hou. Great hearing from you!

    1. Belinda,
I’ve never been but I’ve always wanted to see the Northern Lights and go to the Blue Lagoon.
It sounds like a beautiful city to crush over. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
