Hello, 2013!!

2012 held a lot of adventures for my husband and I; we traveled to 7 countries, 3 U.S. Territories, and 5 more states. We swam with sharks, went sailing, explored private beaches and relaxed on remote beaches, snorkeled, crossed off a few different items on my bucket list, and made progress towards my 101 in 1001 goals list. We went to my first Arena football game, traveled to Dallas to attend an NFL game, went on my first business trip, and bought our first home. (2012 was a busy year!)

So what’s in store for 2013? The most exciting adventure planned is my dream once-in-a-lifetime-vacation to Norway this summer. Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of visiting the country where my family is from, and it is going to be even more special because my grandma (who was born in Norway) is going to travel with us. We will explore Oslo and the western fjords, and meet up with our family who still reside in Norway. This is going to be a vacation to remember.

I have until the end of December 2013 to finish my 101 goals in 1001 days list, so I will be focusing on those goals. If I am able to complete them as planned, this coming year we will be traveling to California and Disneyland, the Grand Canyon, and Lake Powell. Our adventures will include horseback riding, scuba diving, attending the Sundance film festival, and more.

As you know, we are traveling back to Kauai this week for a little R&R. We have an exciting (and death-defying) adventure planned that I will share upon our return. Mom and Dad, pretend that you didn’t read that last sentence. Let’s face it, it wouldn’t be a true “Krystle” trip if I wasn’t pushing some kind of limit… right? 😉

There’s a lot in store for 2013, let’s hope that it’s even better than 2012. Happy New Year!

    1. I’m excited to read about your trip to Salt Lake City. Let me know what you think about it! I’ve always wanted to go to London and Paris as well! That is so awesome! Sounds like you have an amazing year ahead of you!

    1. We’ve had a good year but know that it might not always be this way. 🙂 We are just trying to see and do all that we can while we can. If anything, we are making memories to last a lifetime. You’re in Florida, right? I’m jealous that you are so close to so many great beaches! I wish we were closer to the ocean! Thanks for stopping by, Stephanie!! 🙂

  1. Oh my goodness you guys have had such an amazing year! Congratulations on your house, that’s such a huge accomplishment! 1. Thanks, Jen. 🙂 I hope you will find my posts about our trip to Kauai helpful and informative. You are going to love Kauai. Out of all of the places we have visited, we still find ourselves being drawn back to Kauai time and time again. The house was a very stressful process but it was exciting once we finally got the keys, I’m so glad we don’t have to pay rent anymore! Have a great weekend!

  2. Wow! I can’t believe how close you are to reaching all your goals. It’s been a lot of fun doing them all with you. I’ve just had to have the attitude of I’m up for anything and I’ve surely done things in the last 5 years I never would have imagined doing.

I’m a lucky guy to have such an amazing girl and its crazy all we’ve been able to see. I’m really looking forward to Kauai, HI in the next couple days. Thanks for all your careful planning to make our trips all the more special. You mean the world to me and like I said in my wedding vowes I will always do my best to help you reach every goal you’ve ever wanted to reach.

    1. Thanks for always being up for my crazy adventures! 🙂 We have a lot of fun together and I’m lucky I have you by my side joining in or cheering me on (except for the swimming with sharks, you weren’t very happy about that) 😉 I love you!
