Happy Aloha Friday my friends!
In my last Aloha Friday post
(months ago) I shared my Perfect Mai Tai recipe, and today I’m sharing another favorite drink recipe brought to you straight from the islands. Not only do I love the beautiful color of this drink as it reminds me of the ocean, but the flavors within the drink capture the essence of paradise.
The Blue Hawaii
- 1 ounce of Light Rum (I used Coconut Rum)
- 3/4 ounce of Vodka
- 1 ounce of Blue Curacao
- 1 ounce of Sweet and Sour Mix
- 3 ounces of Pineapple Juice
Mix all ingredients and then pour over ice. Garnish with a pineapple slice, umbrella, or plumeria flower.
You can also make a blended version of the drink by adding cream of coconut, ice, and a blender.
I love simple, easy-to-make drink recipes so this one is right up my alley. It did take a few different recipes to find one the that I liked best, so hopefully you’ll like it too. This one goes out to my best friend, Crystal. Happy birthday darling!
So…who’s coming over for a cocktail? Enjoy your weekend!

I made these tonight and my recipe is exactly the same! Delicious!
They are indeed delicious! Hope you enjoyed your weekend.
Hmm…it’s breakfast time here and I’m still in my PJs just contemplating getting out there in the kayak on a very hot summer’s day. Could use one of these when I get back.
Sounds like a fantastic day! Enjoy some of that kayaking for me too, please!
Let’s make some right now!
Come on over my friend! 🙂 Cheers!
