I love you from here to Kauai

Kauai holds a special place in my heart. It is one of the prettiest islands that I have ever visited, and there’s a mystery about this island that draws you in and leaves you wanting more. Kauai is not as touristy as some of the other Hawaiian islands, which adds to its charm. There are many great things about Kauai, but the main reason why it is so special to me is because my husband and I were engaged along the NaPali coast of Kauai almost three years ago.

I was browsing Pinterest a few weeks back and came across a picture that I knew I had to have in my house. ‘Tis the season of love and romance so I thought I would share this easy and cute project with you.

Now I’m the first one to admit that I’m not very crafty or artistic but when I’m working off an idea or have some sort of direction, I can manage. The project took about ten minutes to complete; you will need a frame (like this one from IKEA, or any size and shape that you prefer), and a printer. Easy, right?

Here’s a picture of the finished project:

And a close up of the lettering:

Because we were engaged in Kauai and honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii will always be a very special place for us. (maybe that’s a little too “mushy”) 😉 I like that the major islands are listed in between the overall message. My favorite part of this project is that it is easily customizable and anybody can do it. Switch up the background color, font style, shape and size of the picture, and most importantly add in your favorite (or special) vacation destination.

Happy Valentine’s weekend!

  1. Would love to see some of your photos from Kauai. I was totally awed by the Waimea Canyon or as Mark Twain referred to it “the Grand Canyon of the Pacific”.

    1. Sayvan, I will post some pictures soon. I like to call it the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, as well. 🙂 While I live really close to the actual Grand Canyon, I have not had the chance to visit yet. I guess I need to get going.
